Indoor heat stress in hospital, variation of indoor climate for patients

During the study an exemplary number of patients with chronic diseases in a cooled hospital patient’s room is compared with patients with the same course of disease receiving the standard care treatment in a patient’s room without a cooling system. Both rooms are equipped with the full set of devices used by Research Module 2.1 "Indoor Observations" to measure indoor climate conditions. Clinical parameters from patients (e.g. body temperature, blood pressure and oxygen saturation) are recorded by Research Module 3.1 "Medical Vulnerability".

Several bio-thermal indices are calculated based on the obtained climatological indoor data. These indices are compared with the clinical parameters. The index showing the best association with the clinical parameters will be considered as the best way to describe indoor heat stress in mid-latitudes cities.
