Research Module 2:
Indoor Climate and Heat-Stress Hazard

The main research responsibilities for Research Module 2 are observations and simulations of indoor weather and climates for quantifying indoor heat-stress hazard, both for reanalysed and projected urban weather and climates for varying building designs, technologies and green.

Research Module 2 consists of two sub-projects:

2.1 Indoor Observations

  • Observation of indoor weather and climates and their relations to reanalysed outdoor weather and climates.
  • Provision of validation data sets for indoor weather and climate simulations.
  • Quantification of indoor heat-stress hazards and risks for reanalysed outdoor weather and climates.

2.2 Indoor Simulations

  • Simulation of indoor weather and climates and their relations to reanalysed outdoor weather and climates.
  • Quantification of indoor heat-stress hazards and risks for reanalysed and projected outdoor weather and climates.
